Libertà di movimento
AA. VV.Ci vuole coraggio e lucidità, in questo tempo, per mettere al centro la libertà di movimento: per questo, la Carovana che in aprile legherà Triste a Maljevac, in Croazia, va sostenuta in tutti i modi possibili. I confini e i campi di contenimento voluti dall’Ue uccidono e calpestano ogni giorno la dignità di donne, uomini e bambini della rotta balcanica. Il regime dei confini uccide, condanna migliaia di persone a vivere nel fango di fronte ad un’Europa che esternalizza le sue frontiere per lavarsi la coscienza e mantenere i suoi privilegi. Lo abbiamo visto più volte nel corso degli ultimi anni, prima con l’accordo EU-Turchia e la miriade di accordi bilaterali come quello Italia-Libia, poi con i progressivi finanziamenti a Frontex, Paesi membri di confine, Stati extra UE e organizzazioni internazionali, tutti funzionali a impedire il movimento dei e delle migranti.
Gli incendi dei campi di “contenimento” dell’ultimo anno, da Lesvos alla Bosnia-Erzegovina, hanno evidenziato ulteriormente le pessime condizioni di vita delle persone in transito e in cerca di protezione, dando vita a grandi manifestazioni di solidarietà in tutta Europa. Questa solidarietà, che si sta esprimendo in forme molteplici, è fondamentale ma, a nostro parere, deve accompagnarsi ad una chiara e forte denuncia delle responsabilità politiche di coloro che hanno permesso che la rotta balcanica diventasse un corollario di violenze, abusi e morte. Non possiamo stare fermi di fronte a questo! Non possiamo accettare una narrazione che parla di emergenza e di catastrofe umanitaria, quasi fosse una calamità naturale, senza individuare le cause e i responsabili che la determinano!
Vogliamo promuovere una carovana per la libertà di movimento, partendo da piazza Libertà di Trieste, crocevia di solidarietà e cura, con lo scopo di arrivare a Maljevac in Croazia.
Dobbiamo agire, dimostriamo che è possibile creare una forte pressione dal basso per mettere in discussione tutto l’impianto generale del nuovo Patto europeo sulla migrazione e l’asilo. L’Europa parla continuamente di solidarietà tra Stati, ma nulla dice a riguardo della solidarietà alle persone menzionate nel patto; permette a una manciata di parlamentari di levare qualche flebile voce critica, ma nella realtà prepara i campi di detenzione e nuove deportazioni.
Decide arbitrariamente sulla vita di migliaia di persone in transito chi può avere un documento e chi deve tornare al punto di partenza, le obbliga a nascondersi sotto un tir o in un container per attraversare un confine, a percorrere strade sempre più pericolose, a pagare trafficanti, a sentirsi costantemente braccate e precarie. Agisce da oppressore, mantiene i suoi privilegi europei solo grazie alla sofferenza di migliaia di persone in transito.
Apriamo una breccia nella narrazione in grado di fare proprio il concetto di libertà di movimento, di apertura dei confini, di diritti e protezione.
Porteremo la nostra solidarietà attiva ai corpi bloccati al di là del confine e ripercorreremo parte della balkan route, risignificando un tragitto di violenza e selezione in un corridoio di libertà e solidarietà.
Attraversando stati e confini che incarnano l’ipocrisia delle politiche europee vogliamo puntare il dito contro i colpevoli di questa situazione, contro chi attua respingimenti a catena e srotola filo spinato, per chiedere a gran voce l’apertura dei confini e l’istituzione di canali sicuri.

Balkanroute calling: caravan for freedom of movement! Italy – Slovenia – Croatia Borders kill: thousands and thousands of people are condemned to live in the mud in front of Europe’s externalised borders, where walls and fences defend only the white privilege.
From 2016 EU-Turkey agreement to the myriad of bilateral agreements such as the Italy-Libya one, with the progressive funding of Frontex, we have seen
border member states, non-EU states and international organisations preventing the freedom of movement of migrants.
The fires in the ‘containment’ camps over the last year, from Lesvos to Bosnia-Herzegovina, have further highlighted the poor living conditions of people in transit and in search of protection, leading to large demonstrations of solidarity across Europe. This solidarity, which is being expressed in many forms, is essential but, in our opinion, it must be accompanied by a clear and strong denounce of the political responsibilities of those who have allowed the Balkan route to become a corollary of violence, abuse and death. We cannot stand still facing all this!
We cannot accept a narrative that speaks of an emergency and a humanitarian catastrophe, as if it was a natural disaster, without identifying the causes and those responsible for it! We want to promote a caravan for freedom of movement, starting from Piazza Libertà in Trieste, a crossroads of solidarity and care, with the aim of reaching Maljevac in Croatia.
We have to act, let’s show that it is possible to create a strong pressure from bottom to question the whole framework of the new European Pact on Migration and Asylum. Europe constantly talks about solidarity between states, but what about the solidarity for people we are talking about in the pact? it’s not mentioned at all, allows a handful of parliamentarians to raise a few feeble voices of criticism, but in fact prepares detention camps and new deportations. It arbitrarily decides over the lives of thousands of people in transit who can have a document and who must return to their point of departure; it forces them to hide under a lorry or in a container in order to cross a border, to travel ever more dangerous roads, to pay traffickers, to feel constantly hunted down and insecure. It acts as an oppressor, maintaining its European privileges only through the suffering of thousands of people in transit. Let us open a breach in the narrative that can make the concept of freedom of movement, open borders, rights and protection our own. We will bring our active solidarity to the bodies stranded on the other side of the border and retrace part of the Balkan route, redefining a route of violence and selection into a corridor of freedom and solidarity.
Crossing states and borders that embody the hypocrisy of European policies, we want to point the finger at the perpetrators of this situation, at those who implement chain rejections and unroll barbed wire, to demand the opening of borders and the establishment of safe channels.

Die Balkanroute ruft: eine Karawane für die Bewegungsfreiheit! 17/04
Italien – Slowenien – Kroatien -Das Grenzregime tötet, verurteilt Tausende von Menschen dazu, im Schlamm zu leben, und dies vor den Augen der EU, die ihre Grenzen auslagert, um sich das Gewissen rein zu waschen und ihre Privilegien zu erhalten. Wir haben es in den letzten Jahren mehrfach beobachten können: zuerst das Abkommen zwischen EU und Türkei, dann die unzähligen bilateralen Abkommen wie jenes zwischen Italien und Libyen, und dann mit der immer stärkeren Finanzierung zugunsten von Frontex so wie verschiedener Grenzstaaten und internationaler Organisationen, deren Hauptziel es ist, die Bewegungsfreiheit der Migranten zu verhindern. Die Brände in den “Containment”-Lagern des letzten Jahres, von Lesbos bis Bosnien-Herzegowina, haben die schrecklichen Lebensbedingungen der Menschen auf der Durchreise und auf der Suche nach Schutz von Neuem verdeutlicht und Anlass zu großen Solidaritätsdemonstrationen in ganz Europa gegeben. Diese Solidarität, die in vielen Formen zum Ausdruck kommt, ist unentbehrlich, muss aber unserer Meinung nach mit einer klaren und deutlichen Anprangerung der politischen Verantwortung derjenigen einhergehen, die zugelassen haben, dass die Balkanroute zu einem Konzentrat von Gewalt, Missbrauch und Tod wurde.Wir können angesichts dieser Situation nicht stillstehen und schweigen! Wir können nicht länger eine Darstellungsweise akzeptieren, die diese Notlage und humanitäre Katastrophe so beschreibt, als wäre es eine unvermeidliche Naturkatastrophe, die keine Ursachen und keine Verantwortlichen hat! Daher wollen wir im Sinne der Solidarität und des Protests eine Karawane organisieren, die von Piazza Libertà in Triest, einem Knotenpunkt der Solidarität und Fürsorge, ausgehen soll und Maljevac in Croatia erreichen wird. Wir müssen handeln, wir müssen zeigen, dass es möglich ist einen starken Druck von unten zu erzeugen, um den neuen Europäischen Pakt für Migration und Asyl in seiner Gesamtheit in Frage zu stellen. Europa spricht ständig von Solidarität zwischen den Staaten, wobei eine spärliche Anzahl von Parlamentariern ihre schwache Kritik erheben. In Wirklichkeit aber bereitet die EU gerade meherere Internierungslager und neue Abschiebungen vor. Sie entscheidet willkürlich über das Leben von Tausenden von Menschen die auf der Flucht sind und das Recht auf Papiere hätten, und stattdessen abgewiesen werden. Diese Politik zwingt die Flüchtlinge, sich unter Lastwagen oder in Containern zu verstecken um eine Grenze zu überqueren, immer gefährlichere Straßen zu befahren, illegale Schlepper zu bezahlen, ständig gejagt und verfolgt zu werden. Die EU steht als Unterdrücker da, der seine europäischen Privilegien nur durch das Leiden und der Rechtsverweigerung von Tausenden von Flüchtlingen aufrechterhält. Lasst uns diese Darstellung zersprengen! Lasst uns das Konzept von Freizügigkeit, offenen Grenzen, Rechten und Schutz zu unserem eigenen machen! Wir werden jenen Menschen, die auf der anderen Seite der Grenze blockiert sind, unsere aktive Solidarität entgegenbringen und einen Teil der Balkanroute zurückverfolgen, um diese Route der Gewalt und Ausgrenzung in eine Route der Freiheit und Solidarität umzudefinieren.
Hinweg über diese Staaten und Grenzen, welche die Heuchelei der europäischen Politik verkörpern. Wir die Schuldigen dieser Situation anprangern, jene, die diese Kettenabweisungen durchführen und den Stacheldraht entrollen.
